The Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM)The Investment Coordinating Board (or commonly known as BKPM-Badan Koordinast Penanaman Modal) is an investment service agency of the Indonesian Government created with the purpose to effectively implement the enactment of law on foreign as well as domestic investment. At the time, BKPM is a non-departmental governmental government agency serving under and directly responsible to the President of the Republic of Indonesia. BKPM is continuously putting a lot of effort to improve its services to simplify and speed up investment procedure of both foreign and domestic investments. Service that BKPM provides are classified into three main areas: - Investment information,
- Investment licensing and approval,
- Investment monitoring and evaluation.
BKPM also updates its homepage (http://www.bkpm.go.id) from time to time in order to present the most current information on investment in Indonesia.Investment Information on: - investment potentials and opportunities;
- prospective Indonesian/foreign business partners for foreign/Indonesian investors wishing to carry out joint venture with Indonesian /foreign partners;
- government policies, laws and regulations and other related information with respect to investment;
- Investment statistics on periodical basis.
Investment Licensing and Approval: - BKPM provides guidance and advisory to investors on how to prepare applications for new investment, expansion of investment and change of investment projects.
Investment Monitoring and Evaluation: - BKPM undertakes monitoring and evaluations on the progress of investment projects. In addition, BKPM also provides guidance and advisory to investors in overcoming problems and constraints encountered during the project implementation.
