Sites

Great white sandy Kuta beach

Kuta beach is great white sandy beach, located in the South Coast of Bali. The large area is ornamented with resorts of international styles, yet retaining traditional cultural breath with a number of Hindu temple and fresh surroundings. Pura Petitenget and Pura Masceri are known as two ancient Hindu temples among many others.

Tanah lot

Tanah lot is one of Bali’s most important sea temples, the temple sanctuary at Tanah lot is built atop a huge rock surrounded by the sea. Built by one of the last priest to come to Bali from Java in the 16th century, its rituals include the paying of homage to the guardian spirits of the sea. Poisonous sea snakes found at the base of the rocky island are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders. The best time to see Tanah Lot is in the late afternoon when the temple is in silhouette.

Pupuan Rice Field

Bali is also famous for its beautiful terraced rice field called Pupuan. It adopts the Hindu philosophy of Trihita Kirana, which obligates the believers to maintain harmonious and balanced relationship among human, their God and the universe. The fertile slopes and the water from the mountain must be utilized to provide generous yielding for human life.

Main Attraction

Temple Festival

Taking place throughout Bali, such as the Odalan or temples anniversary celebrations. Offerings are carried to the temple. There are purification ceremonies and a fair. At night, performances of sacred dances can be seen. Wayang kulit and gamelan music are also performed.
